Ike Ekweremadu was born on May 12, 1962, in Amachara Mpu, Nigeria. He is of Igbo origin and holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in law from the University of Nigeria.
He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1987 and also holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in law from the University of Abuja, Nigeria.
Political Career
Ike Ekweremadu is a Nigerian politician and lawyer who served in the Senate of Nigeria for Enugu West from June 2003 to May 2023.
He was a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and was the Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate for three consecutive terms (6th, 7th, and 8th Senate).
